AIWA Chicago

Shaghig Danielle Galian graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism and English. She spent her early years very involved in the Chicago Armenian community while assisting in Parev Monthly Newspaper's publication and outreach efforts. She is currently the Editor of The Wholesaler - the PVF & HVAC industry's #1 trade magazine. Danielle is an avid news buff and revels in the combination of modern and tradition; a combination she likes to use in her work both professional and creative. 

A Chicago native, Danielle enjoys exploring different cities and towns across the country in her free time. She also finds time to blog about trends in beauty and fashion.

AIWA New England

Karen is the User Engagement and Assessment Librarian and library web manager at Snell Library, Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to working at Northeastern, Karen worked at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She has an MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as degrees in history and Middle Eastern Studies.

AIWA New Jersey

Margaret Janikian, MSW, LSW is a Licensed Social Worker at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in Livingston, NJ.  Prior to this she had been with UHC Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ.  Margaret has 20 plus years of experience consulting with patients and their families in the health care system.
 
Mrs. Janikian received her Master of Social Work at Fordham University and her undergraduate degree thru Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-Newark.  Margaret speaks to community organizations on the the topic of healthcare, and what care recipients and family members who care for them should know.  Her expertise lies in the knowledge of the hospital system, related to what needs to be done within that short time of their hospital stay in order to achieve the desired discharge plan.
 
Margaret remains active in the community as the AIWA-NJ Affiliate President, Shushi Armenian Dance Group- Committee Member and a Member of the National Association of Social Workers.

AIWA Los Angeles

Nicole Barsom Nishanian is a graduate of USC with a major in Early Childhood  and Elementary Education.  She has been active in the Pasadena Children's Guild, The Junior League of Los Angeles and has been a member of the Armenian Missionary Association of America Child & Orphan Care Luncheon committee for the past 12 years.  When living in Los Angeles she was an active member of United Armenian Congregational Church and since moving to Orange County she and her family  have joined St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church.  Nicole has been inspired by AIWA Los Angeles since she was in college and attended numerous fundraising events which were the most vibrant & exciting events ever. 

Nicole and her husband, Dr. Gary Nishanian, a Vascular Surgeon, make their home in Newport Beach with their three daughters. Nicole and her 3 daughters Colette, Natalie & Chloe are avid golfers.

AIWA San Francisco

Christine Anne Soussa is a key leader within the Symantec sales team and currently drives Enterprise Sales Strategy, where she is responsible for enabling growth through vision and creativity. Prior to taking on her current role, Christine served as a consistent top performing Sr. Strategic Enterprise Account Executive for Symantec.  During her tenure she was honored with multiple sales performance and leadership awards.  Previously, she held sales roles at VeriSign and The Walt Disney Company.
As a result of her sales and marketing experience, coupled with her entrepreneurial spirit and zest for life, Christine is also part of an event planning company, Simple Little Details.
Ms. Soussa received her Bachelors degree in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and English with an emphasis in Writing and Rhetoric from Pepperdine University.  Christine proudly serves as the President of the Armenian International Women’s Association San Francisco Affiliate.
